Background

  • Sindh was the 1st province of Bharat that fell to Islamic invasions
  • More than 13 centuries have passed
  • Colonization took deep roots in Sindh
  • Sindhi language and culture has seen high degree of colonization
  • The Partition in 1947 saw mass exodus of Hindus
  • Many Hindus still live in Sindh, majority of them poor and low caste
  • On the other hand Sindhi Hindus outside Sindh are a very prosperous community
  • Diaspora Sindhi Hindus are far removed from their province

Vision

The Sindhi diaspora must re-establish its connection to the province of Sindh. The diaspora must become an important stakeholder in the lives of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists that still live there. The diaspora must provide relief and assistance to those in distress.

To preserve, protect and promote the classical heritage and culture of Sindh, and to provide relief and assistance to the distressed and poor in Sindh.
